The guns fired some more shots.
The Victorious launched back into hyperspace.
"Where shall we wait for the Hood?" Gordon asked Scott, who was now in charge of the mission.

Scott sighed. "Four points, one scans the west side. one the north and one east. and last one the last part of eath" Scott said.
"don't" cristal grunted almost knock out. "I hate you two" She mumbled before collapsing.

Joseph had her taken to the medical bay on board, while he headed back to the control room.
Gavin was already there.
"Where have you been?" Gavin asked.
"Sorting Cristal out" Joseph said, "She tried to shut of the AI"
"What?" Gavin said, "Why would she do that?"
"Don't ask me" Joseph mumbled.
Gordon took the west side of the Earth, and waited.
Damon took the Pathfinder towards the south.
"North or east?" James asked Hannah.

James set the ship to the east side of the Earth, leaving Scott to take the North.
"Victorious, status of the communication systems" Joseph said.
"Communications are beginning to clear" Victorious replied, "Radio contact should be possible in two minutes"

"All ships scan the aria for unwanted visitors" Scott said over the radio.

"Picking up hyperspace energy" Damon said.
Three ships left hyperspace near to Earth.
One was the Hood's older ship, Leviathan, whilst the other two were new designs, and bore the names Desolator and Devastator.

"blow those ships up now!" scott shouted.
Cristal had woken up with a mayor hangover. and headed to the control room. luckely one of the crew had given her something to wake up.
She sat down in one of the chair and looked outside.
Hannah looked "get us there." she said,

"Lucas, prepare weapons" Damon said.
"FAB" Lucas said.
"Peter, take us straight at them" Damon said.
"Course set" Peter said, before pushing the throttle to full.
James powered the engines up and the ship began to move towards the Hood's ships.
Gordon followed with Freedom.
"Blast it all" the Hood said, "It's that blasted International Rescue! Mullion, you're with me. Transom, test that drive!"
The two new ships moved off towards the IR ships.
Joseph said nothing.
"Communications are back online" Victorious said.
"Open a channel to all IR ships" Joseph said.
"Channel open" Victorious replied.
"All IR ships, this is the Victorious" Joseph said, "Requesting an update of what's going on"

"update, were screwed, three Hood ships" hannah said over the radio "While you where taking a coffee break." hannah grinned.
"Where where you" jeff thundered over the radio.
Scott charged his weapons.

"We hit an energy field which overloaded the hyperdrive" Joseph said.
The new ships opened fire with a modified beam weapon, which couldn't pass the shields.
"Shields are falling quickly" James said, "Some kind of high energy missile, it's draining the shields"
The Pathfinder opened fire on the new ships.

Cristal looked at the ships of the hood as they fired. she rubbed her neck,
jeff looked at Spencer and Fermat. "Why didn't it happen to our other ships?"
Scott fired. at Transom's ship. as Hannah fired at Mullion's ship.

"Sixty percent and falling" James said.
"Stop those missiles" Gordon said, as his shields began to drop as well.
A squad of IR starfighters left the Freedom's hangar bay, and began to intercept the missiles, blowing them up before they reached the shields.
"Could be that the Victorious took a slightly different route that passed through the field" Spencer said.
"Railguns on those new beam weapons he's got" Damon said.
"Railguns have a new target" Lucas said.
The Victorious continued through hyperspace.
